Memorial Day Weekend...

Saturday was Hill Air Force Bases air show.  They haven't done this for 3 years do to low funds.  The last time We saw the Air Show we were stuck in traffic coming home from Kevin and Carley's wedding. This time the weather wasn't very cooperative.  We sat in the car eating our lunch waiting out the storm.  Once it looked like it was passing we rolled down the windows to hear that it will be canceled due to lightening warnings.  Bummed we made our way to the Museum where everyone else was.  As we were walking around we could hear planes flying above us so we quickly ran out and made our way back to the show where they started things up again! Yeah! The weather had cleared but it was still a little chilly.  Usually we are all dying of heat at the Air Show.  This year will be one we will never forget.

Before making our way to the Air Show we went to see Grandma and Grandpa Jennings' grave. I love and miss these two so much!!!
Then we went out to Plain City to see Gaven.  And oh how I miss him everyday!!! I am so sad that my kids' wont get to meet Gaven in this life.  But that doesn't mean they haven't met him.  I know Gaven was and is watching over my little angels.
Today was the first day of summer for my mom and also the holiday of Memorial Day.  We went for a bike ride on the Ogden River Parkway.  I am so impressed at what they have done and are doing to make it a beautiful trail.  We stopped at this art sculpture that they will be dedicating on Thursday and played with it.  You turn a wheel and water comes down and goes into the different canyons created.

Then we stopped at a new park where the kids had fun stretching their legs and playing.

Grandpa also wanted to stretch his legs
And then of course we rode over to Farrs to have some ice cream!
It was the perfect day for a bike ride!

My dad has never told us that along the River Parkway there is a memorial for Gaven.  Once the secret was out we had to go find it.  There is a tree planted next to it all dedicated to Gaven.
It has been such a beautiful day today and we will finishing it all off with a picnic with my neighbors/ family.
