Spooktacular Weekend...

Friday night we went out to dinner with my family then went over to my parents house for a Halloween party for the kids.  Maddie decorated the house so cute and made these cute witch brooms full of treats and prizes for the kids. Next we played a few games.  We threw spiders at the spider web and whoever got the closest to the home spider won.  Then we went pumpkin bowling.  The kids had a blast.  Next was decorating owl cookies.  Connor didn't care much to decorate, he just wanted to eat.  After the kids were loaded up on sugar we got the kids ready for bed and to sleep over and grandma and grandpas. While going to bed they watched Monsters vs. Aliens.

Saturday morning us girls got dressed up in our witch attire and headed to Gardner Village where we met up with our Aunts, Cousin's, and Grandma.  We had a fun day of dancing, singing, laughing, eating and shopping.  And of course Payton's highlight was getting her face painted.  I love this tradition!

Weekend Fun...

Friday we went to dinner for Todd's Birthday and Nic of course had to take a ride on his new birthday toy...
I was so excited that Payton got invited to her very first friend birthday party.  It was so cute on the card it said to dress up as your favorite princess.  Well as we were all dropping off the girls 6 out of the 8 girls were wearing Rapunzel dresses.

Saturday night we went to the drive-in for our last time of the year.  We watched Hotel Transylvania and Here Comes the Boom.  Both were really good movies and of course its such a blast watching it in the back of the truck!

Sunday we had a little Halloween party at Grandma Richs' house. The kids all dressed up and rode on the train, found their bags of candy, and painted pumpkins

Cornbelly Fun...

Yesterday we spent several hours playing at Thanksgiving Point at a fall festival they call Cornbelly's.  It was such a blast! There were so many things to do, hay rides, bounce houses, slides, pig races, corn mazes, pedal go carts, just to name a few.  I'm already looking forward to next year when we can go again!!!

FALLing for You...

The temperatures are cooler, the aphids are about gone and the trees are changing down here.  I love it.

Right now the kids' favorite thing to do is to play in the leaves.  They have a blast.  They love running and jumping in the pile, making leave angels, and covering each other up.  It's so fun to watch them play so well together.

No worries I had all of our Fall/ Halloween decor up the weekend after Labor Day.  I needed something new to look at!

Conference...

I don't have my notes with me but from a lot of the Conference talk's I took away that service was a big topic.  And service is something I know I can do better at.  From Women's Conference I took this to heart and on Sunday when a sign up sheet came around I put my name on all of them.  Sure enough I got called to help on all of them.  I prepared meals for a family with a new baby, I prepared food for a funeral, for young women's we made freezer meals and handed them out to several families in the ward, and I also spent time at a ladies house who said she needed help.  For this particular lady I had to keep the thought in my head that I would be blessed for giving my service.  I do know that I will be blessed and that I need to continue to have a positive attitude and give more.  The feeling that I get after helping out in any way is very comforting to me.  I look forward to next months Ensign so that I can read the Conference talks since some were impossible to listen to with kids.  I love our prophet and all of the general authority and love listening to their talks and testimonies I love the spiritual boost that I get put on during this time and hope that I can continue to grow and be a good example to my children and my generation.
During Saturday's session we made our witch hat's for witches night out.

Yesterday we had a fun day.  Camie, Kelse, and I along with the kids met up at McDonald's for lunch then went to the Tree House Museum where the kids played for hours exploring all of the different exhibits.  We all had such a fun time and I know the kid's did too.
