Our Week All Summed Up...

Last Sunday we mixed a couple of holidays together.  It was St. Patrick's Day but we also had an Easter egg hunt with the Rich family.  The Leprechaun came and used our bathroom and dyed our milk green which caused all of our breakfast to be green.  The kids loved it and thought it was pretty fun.  Before our Easter egg hunt Grandma told us what Easter is all about, the Resurrection.  For some reason Payton applies that to being electrocuted and brings up a hair dryer being put in water? Were working on this confusion of hers.
Monday night we celebrated Sienna's first birthday.  And Tuesday I went to the Temple with my parents.  My cousin Megan was getting her endowments.  It was such a special night and I'm so glad I was able to be there.  We realized a couple of hours before we left that Nic's recommend had expired which stinks but worked out that he could watch the kids especially since Connor was feeling quite under the weather.  Wednesday Connor had his appointment and then I came down with another migraine and spent the day trying to sleep, taking care of the kids, tending to Connor's hurting ear, and throwing up.  It was also the day that Nic left for Moab.  You can obviously tell how thrilled I was about that.
Thursday I was exhausted from the previous day but was feeling much better.  We went to Pioneer and ate lunch with my mom.  The kids love that, especially Payton with all the attention she gets there.  That night was pizza night at mom and dad's and then I had a soccer game.  Friday was Megan and Nate's wedding.  The ceremony was beautiful and the weather was freezing!!! Waiting for them to come out of the Temple was quite rough with the cold wind blowing.  Payton and Connor spent the entire day at Nic's mom's and had so much fun.  Saturday again was another busy day.  I again had made arrangements with Nic's mom to watch the kids while we went to the Brigham City Temple to perform ceilings.  It was with our ward but again I went with my parents and Cameron and Cecelia. After the temple we went out to lunch then quickly went home to pick up the kids and have us girls go get pedicures done.  While the kids were with Grandma Rich they went to the Tree House Museum and also to McDonald's.
Our pedicures were gifts that us girls got for Christmas and we chose this weekend to have them done.  It was mine and Payton's very first pedicure and we loved it.  Apparently I was quite the show to watch because I was squirming so much because my feet are beyond ticklish.  But I survived and I would love to go again... in a few months.  I had a guy to mine and he was awesome.  He took the time to do Payton's nails and then spent a lot of time on me.  When he was rubbing my legs he told me, "Ohh soccer has been good to you" Nic better watch out there is some old Asian man checking out my legs.  I loved our girl time that we got to spend together.  But that night was the highlight of my busy week when my handsome husband made it home safely from his fun trip in Moab. I sure missed him and am so glad he is back.

2 Year Stats...

Poor Connor got hit with some virus this last week.  On Sunday his eye started getting goopy and bloodshot.  By Monday morning his other eye was glued shut so I took him to the doctor figuring he had pink eye.  The doctor said it was a virus that was going around and told me he would most likely get an ear infection as well.  But since he didn't have an ear infection I only left the doctors with a prescription for some eye drops.  His eyes cleared up by the next day but he was still congested.  Well Wednesday we went in for his 2 year "well" child check up.  While looking in his ears sure enough he had an ear infection.  This is my first time as a parent ever dealing with an ear infection. Payton has been lucky enough to never have one and this is Connor's first.  Poor kid keeps holding his right ear and saying, "ouch".  But other than that he is such a little trooper.  The doctor also told me that we again are going to wait on his hernia, probably until he is 5.
Weight: 31.6 lbs  86%
Height: 36.75 in.  97%
Head Circumference 51 cm
He is still on the big side and it's definitely noticeable especially when he is in nursery with all the kids his age.  I love having a big boy and a petite girl!

Slacking...

I have been meaning to keep up with blogging but I have been enjoying my time outside in the nice warm Spring weather we have been having this last week.  Prior to this nice weather we have been stuck inside bringing Spring indoors.  Nic and I have been going on our weekly dates, I have been doing a few more crafts out of paint sticks. Making skirts, and ties and spring cleaning.  Now that the weather is warming up we have been outside doing yard work, going to birthday parties, swinging, riding motorcycles, picnicking, going for walks and just enjoying the sun that has been so absent the last few months.

Connor is TWO.  Where did those 2 years go? Yesterday we celebrated Connor's Birthday with cake and ice cream with our families.  I am so in love with this boy.  He is all boy and loves to make messes, growl, wrestle, yell, pick on his sister, hit (were working on that) tools, buzz, motorcycles, trains, cars, trucks, dinosaurs, lions (especially Alex from Madagascar) and his new favorite Bumblebee the Transformer.  He is finally talking a lot more now and loves to say the prayers. At least a hundred times a day he says, "Mom watch".  He is a mamas boy but loves when daddy comes home from work.  He takes his nap very well but come bed time it's quite the battle also around 2 a.m and 5 a.m we go through it all over again. Any suggestions??? Even though he keeps us up at night we love him so much and are so blessed to have him in our lives.
Happy Birthday Connor!!!

Winner Winner Soup Dinner...

On Saturday we had an Elders Quorum Soup Cook-off.  There were about 12 different soups to choose from and all were so yummy! Nic and I made a Zupa Tuscanoa Soup and were voted the best soup and took home a golden ladle! And I have to agree, it was that good!

I'm so happy with all of the work Nic and the presidency are are putting into the Elders Quorum so that we have these nights where we get together and grow closer as a ward.
