Dinosaur Week...

In case you didn't know, last week was dinosaur week.  Officially, probably not, but for us it was.  Last week I visited the Dinosaur Park 3 different times. The first visit was with Payton on her first Kindergarten field trip.  Later that night we went again with my family for the Weber County Faculty night.  And the final visit was on Friday for Connor's first Preschool field trip.  I have to say I had the funnest with Connor.  He was so into every dinosaur and would run from dinosaur to dinosaur asking what it was called and after me telling him he would run to the next.  It was good one on one time with him, time that I really enjoyed.

On Sunday Grandma Rich gave the kids little tiny dinosaurs that grew when you put them in water.  Very fitting for our week.
Payton's Triceratops..
Between the dinosaur fun Payton learned to blow a bubble with bubble gum!
Such a stud.

Friday night the boys left for a Father and Sons outing.  Nic was glad to have stayed in the trailer, since it rained the entire time.  Connor had tons of fun and loved spending the night camping with dad, uncle Sam, and Grandpa Rich.  To add a little more fun Aaron, Weston, and McKay joined them in the trailer.
Since Nic and Connor were out having fun, Payton and I couldn't pass up a mommy daughter date.  We ate dinner at Cafe Rio then went to Farr's Fresh for ice cream. We came home and watched Charlotte's Web together then went to bed.  Payton several times told me it was the best date ever.

FHE...

Sometimes this is what we do for Family Home Evening...
We go out into nature to look at the beauties around us...
We take in the beautiful scenery as the seasons change...
We take deep breaths of the clean, crisp, mountain fresh air...
And eat peanut butter and honey sandwiches...
 With smiles on our faces...
We talk about the things we saw that Heavenly Father created...
The trees, plants, mountains, deer, chipmunks and birds were on the list...
When it's time to go home we bundle up...
And pose again for another picture...
We love making memories with the ones we love most..

What a Weekend...

This last weekend was an amazing one, one to never forget.  It started on Friday night by heading up to Logan for Time Out for Women.  This year along with my mom, Cecelia, and Maddie my aunt Nancy and Tammy joined us. (we missed you Carlin.) On Friday the speakers were Heidi Swinton and Laurel C. Day.  The music performers were Justin Cash & Calee Reed.  I could listen to Calee all day.  My aunt Nancy is going to try to get her for our Womens Conference this year.  I hope she will be able to come, because that would be amazing!  Saturday the speakers were Noelle Pikus-Pace, Whitney Johnson, John Hilton III, Wendy Ulrich, and Kris Belcher and the music performers were Mercy River.
What an incredible experience to watch Noelle's final run in the skeleton where she took silver medal in the Sochi 2014 Olympics.  It was very powerful and spiritual.  Aside from Noelle, I could listen to Kris Belcher speak all day.  She is so funny and entertaining to listen to.  She keeps my attention with her positive out look in life.  I'm already looking forward to next year, this is an excellent tradition!

Once coming home we got ready for the Shine the Light Celebration for the Ogden Temple.  The performers were youth from around the Ogden Temple District area.  We have put long hours in practicing for the event.  With all the stress and worry it turned out excellent.  Our stake did a Mexican dance and sang and signed songs.  It was amazing!  This is a picture of a few of our YW.
The closing song it what really got to me.  It was a very touching moment.  I'm so proud of our youth for their participation.  And I may be happy that it's done so we can get back to our regular activities.
Sunday was the dedication of the Ogden Temple.  What a beautiful place.  So glad Nic and I were able to go.  This is so important to us.  We love the temple and are excited to do a session again in the Ogden Temple!

Middle of the Month Already...

I can't believe it's the middle of September.  Where has the month gone? Again I will catch you up in pictures.  Everyone loves pictures right?
Soccer is in full swing.
A visit to the dentist to fix some sugar bugs.
My kids want a baby almost as much as me.

Look out sculptors.  She will make any animal you ask her to.
Payton was such a good helper in the morning.  I want a baby, but having 4 kids under the age of 3 is a bit much.
So after a long day of babysitting we spent the weekend in Park City.  It was beautiful!

This is the sign of a good time.

My latest craft.  I haven't done anything since the beginning of April.  It felt good to get my craft on!
