Lazy Walker...

Since I don't have this written down yet I figured I ought to write it down to remember.  Connor took his first step on Nic's birthday.. so over a month ago.  He can totally walk he just refuses to.  Which I don't understand.  He is such a little stinker.  If he would resort to walking he would realize how much easier it is for him and his knees.  He is just aching to play with all the big kids but just doesn't get what they have that he doesn't so maybe someday soon we can actually say that we have a walker. But for now we have a lazy walker!!
FYI: He hasn't walked since I took this video yesterday.

Memorial Day Weekend...

Saturday was Hill Air Force Bases air show.  They haven't done this for 3 years do to low funds.  The last time We saw the Air Show we were stuck in traffic coming home from Kevin and Carley's wedding. This time the weather wasn't very cooperative.  We sat in the car eating our lunch waiting out the storm.  Once it looked like it was passing we rolled down the windows to hear that it will be canceled due to lightening warnings.  Bummed we made our way to the Museum where everyone else was.  As we were walking around we could hear planes flying above us so we quickly ran out and made our way back to the show where they started things up again! Yeah! The weather had cleared but it was still a little chilly.  Usually we are all dying of heat at the Air Show.  This year will be one we will never forget.

Before making our way to the Air Show we went to see Grandma and Grandpa Jennings' grave. I love and miss these two so much!!!
Then we went out to Plain City to see Gaven.  And oh how I miss him everyday!!! I am so sad that my kids' wont get to meet Gaven in this life.  But that doesn't mean they haven't met him.  I know Gaven was and is watching over my little angels.
Today was the first day of summer for my mom and also the holiday of Memorial Day.  We went for a bike ride on the Ogden River Parkway.  I am so impressed at what they have done and are doing to make it a beautiful trail.  We stopped at this art sculpture that they will be dedicating on Thursday and played with it.  You turn a wheel and water comes down and goes into the different canyons created.

Then we stopped at a new park where the kids had fun stretching their legs and playing.

Grandpa also wanted to stretch his legs
And then of course we rode over to Farrs to have some ice cream!
It was the perfect day for a bike ride!

My dad has never told us that along the River Parkway there is a memorial for Gaven.  Once the secret was out we had to go find it.  There is a tree planted next to it all dedicated to Gaven.
It has been such a beautiful day today and we will finishing it all off with a picnic with my neighbors/ family.

Last Outing...

Today we spent the day with Carlin and her kids for our last fling before she moves for the summer.  We met at Thanksgiving Point for a fun day in Farm Country. We saw many different farm animals, Payton and Hunter rode on the ponies and we rode on the wagon pulled by horses.

 Such a cheeser!

We packed a picnic then of course had to finish it up with some free ice cream!
Connor kept teasing Dallin with the spoon..
One of my favorite movies growing up was The Secret Garden.  I couldn't help but be taken back to some of those childhood memories watching Payton and Hunter run around through the gardens.

These two have come a long way together, they are getting pretty good at posing... most of the time...

But these two can use a little help... Where's Dallin???
 Oh there's Dallin.... Where's Connor???
 Hey look over here...
Eh that will have to do...

We finished our day off at Cabella's where of course I had to buy my pretzels.
I am so glad that we were able to spend the day together.  I don't know what I am going to do without Carlin for the summer.  We are always together.  And I love it! This summer will be a different one for sure but I will do my best to survive without her and Maddie. I love you Carlin thank you for the fun day and the the great talks that we had!!!

Another End to an Era...

Monday night was Fremont High's 2012 Graduation which put to close an era for Nic's parents as their youngest graduated High School.

Way to go Morgan! We wish you the best of luck in what the future has in store for you!

The kid's did pretty good through the whole thing thanks to snacks, the ipad, and Grandpa for going on walks.
Last night we finally saw the Avengers with most of Nic's family and some of Carley and Kevin's friends!! Holy cow what a good movie! I absolutely loved it.  It was very entertaining with so many funny parts that I couldn't stop smiling throughout the whole thing. And I especially loved the company we were with!!
Let's do it again real soon!!!
