Rear Ended...

Last night on Nic's way home from work he was at the stop light on 12th and Wall when he was rear ended. Nic's first thought was "sweet I can get my bumper fixed" but when he got out there was no damage to the truck except minor scratches. Amazing what a hitch will do.  Since she only hit him at about 10 mph.  The hood of her car bent up a little bit from hitting the bumper of the truck, but the hitch pretty much put a whole in her fender.
It took an hour for the cop to show up.  About 5 minutes to get statements and then he sat in his car for about 15 minutes before sending Nic home with her insurance info and report.  I am glad it wasn't any worse especially since she had 3 little kids in the back and I don't handle accidents very well.

Pioneer Day's...

This years 24th of July is one I won't forget! It started off with going to the parade in the morning in downtown Ogden.  On the way I was on a side street and at a stop sign when the lady in front of me decided to throw her car into reverse.  I honked my horn but it didn't stop her and she backed right into me.  She got out of her car and I just waved her on and told her it was fine.  Even though I was biting my tongue from calling her an idiot. I knew that it wasn't enough to do anything to my car.  We got to the parade and it was a wet one.  I loved it.  Rather than sweating to death we were able to enjoy a mild temperature July parade.

We got home around 1 after doing some errands.  One of which is I switched birth controls.  The previous day I got another migraine and spent the day in bed and throwing up.  Enough was enough.  I hadn't gotten migraines until this past month from my new birth control I was getting them once a week if not more.  So I have switched and I hope to not have anymore migraines. Keep your fingers crossed.  Anyway I put the kids down for their naps and a couple hours go by and Payton wakes up I went to check on Connor and he was still fast asleep.  So I left him.
Well 5:45 rolls around and I decide to wake Connor up because we were going with Mom and Dad R to play some Frisbee golf.  Before we could leave he threw up in mom and dads garage.  The whole time he was very lethargic and didn't make a peep.  Poor kid.
When we arrived home we had a quick BBQ before going to the fireworks.  Before we could bless the food Connor was throwing up all over the kitchen.  He slept during the fireworks but as soon as they were done he threw up again.  This is the first time Connor has been sick like this and it breaks my heart.  Last night was a long night watching his temperature and keeping him calm.  This morning his temperature is down to 101.4 so down a couple of degrees from last night.  I hope this bug passes fast because I want to see that cute cheesy grin of his.

Rodeo...

Friday night we went to the Pioneer Day's Rodeo with the Rich family.  Morgan was riding with the Jr. Possy and did a few events in the rodeo.  I love going to the rodeo every year it always amazes me the talent everyone has.  Of course Nic's, well and the kids' favorite part were the motorcycles.  Payton and Connor were glued to them. Me I enjoy watching their different reactions.  Nic's face just beams with excitement and that brings me so much joy!

Catchin' Up...

After our AMAZING trip we were back to the real world in no time.  Nic took Wednesday off to work on the truck to get it registered.  We knew this had to be done but kept putting it off because we didn't want to fork out the money for new tires.  But Wednesday we buckeled down and purchased new tires and rims.  Nic is a happy boy! After that we went to get the safety and emissions passed... but of course it didn't.  There was a bolt missing that helps hold the battery... never had them not pass for that since it's been that way for years. Oh well So while Nic worked on fixing the battery the kids and I played in the pool.  Finally we were able to get it registered... and then a barring came loose so he had to fix that too.  Thank goodness I have a handy man!!
This year I bought a pass of all passes that will get me into baseball games, water parks, ski resorts, and other things for $20.  So far we have been to Seven Peaks Water Park a couple of times and it has already paid for itself.  The first time that we went to Seven Peaks I was a little stressed and didn't like it so much.  But the second time was much better.  I went for the kids not for me and that made all the difference.
Sunday was the Weber State Fireworks it's always fun to be with family.  But again these traditions are not the same with out Maddie! She is only half way done with working in Alaska, I wish it were closer.  She is having the time of her life though so that makes me happy!

 Cheeseballs anyone???

Isn't she a beaut! She kept doing her "crazy eyes"...

Coming Home...

Our last day we woke up to watch the sunrise and have a little photo shoot. We took in all that we could. We spent the day getting packed up and walking around the resort.  The last couple of hours we spent in our room because it was extra humid because it was going to rain.  So our room felt extra nice.  At this point since we knew we were going home we really just wanted to be home and see our babies.  We missed them terribly and loved the little bit of time that we were able to talk to them. Our travels went smoothly and we arrived home at midnight.  The next morning we were over at Nic's parents house bright and early to see the kids.  I think they were pretty happy to see us... We know we were!
A BIG thanks to our parents for watching the kids so that Nic and I could spend this well needed time alone together.  We love and appreciate all that you do!

Cancun Day 5...

Was a little stressful as we had to catch a cab to take us to where we catch the ferry to go over to Cozumel.  We were told to meet our party at Sr. Frogs we sat and waited... and waited... and waited... all while trying to be sold other excursions for Cozumel.  Finally we met our tour guide and apparently they were looking for us somewhere else.  The stress left as soon as we got on the ferry and was traded with my dang motion sickness.  I was very relieved to get off the ferry into the humid air.  We booked a snorkeling trip and it was pretty cool.  We went to two different reefs our highlights were the Moray Eel, Barracuda, and a Spider Fish.  Funny that I love snorkeling so much but was really freaking out swimming with the fish in the Cenote.  But I do I love snorkeling and I could have done it the whole trip and been in heaven.  After snorkeling our excursion included lunch so we went and ate at Mr. Chile they had very good chips and salsa and fajitas.  Afterwards we had some time to shop around before the ferry left.  I have a love/hate relationship with shopping in Mexico.  I hate having them pressure me and telling me to come in and have a look.  Then I love having them start off at a high price and bringing them down to a price that I like. When the ferry came I was more than ready I was pretty tired and couldn't wait to get back to our resort.  After getting to our resort we sat out on our balcony and watched the monkey's jump from tree to tree.  Our resort had so much wild life.  You would be walking and then here the trees moving and leaves falling and you knew there was a monkey above you... that or you would hear them do this growl or bark -kinda creepy-.
