Nice to Get Out...

For the past few months I feel like I have been cooped up in the house with nothing to do.  It has been cold for so long I have almost forgotten what hot feels like.  You know it's been a cold winter when it hits 38° and you roll down your windows and drive! I am looking forward to the 50° weather that is in the forecast this weekend!  Either way Carlin and I weren't going to let the weather come in between our zoo tradition.  Which ended in our favor because the weather was quite nice.  The sun was shining the whole day! I hope Carlin plans on coming back the last Wednesday of February every year that she is gone.  If you didn't know the zoo is free that day along with a couple other days.  Carlin and I are all about cheap fun!  It was my first time being back to the zoo since they put in the bear attraction. I thought it was so much fun.  The bears were chasing each other and jumping in the water, it was really fun to watch.  I was a little bummed that the Polar Bears exhibit was being cleaned so we didn't get to see them, but the seals were another fun thing to see.    
One day the Hogle Zoo will be done with all the construction and will be cool to see but not for a few years since they started up another area and have half the zoo is closed.  Either way I love this tradition and I love getting out of the house and especially love being with Carlin!

Changes...

It's a good thing we can handle change because in the last 7 months there has been a lot of change at church for us. To name a few...

Payton has had 6 different teachers and been in 3 different classes,

Connor has been in 3 nurseries,

Nic and I have had 2 different callings,

We have gone to 3 different churches,

Gone to church at 9,11, and now 1,

2  wards,

3 bishoprics, and

2 stake presidencies.

All while living in the same home.  The church is true so I can handle these changes!

Better Late Then Never...

 Yesterday morning we went over to Joni's house to take Payton's 4 year pictures.  I know I'm late but at least they are done and I LOVE how they turned out.  After seeing some photos on Pinterest I knew what I wanted for her pictures.  She loves reading so why not have her in her element.  It worked beautifully because we got her natural smiles, no "cheese" faces here!

Now the hard part... How do I choose which ones to print off???
It's amazing to see how much she grew each year!!

A Little Behind...

 A couple of weeks ago we celebrated my grandparents Birthdays.  We went bowling with the whole family then had dinner at Ogden Pizzaria. 

 The first day that Nic went to his new shift we took the kids to the Kangaroo Zoo to celebrate daddy being home early.  I am loving it!!

 Last weekend we went up to Idaho for my cousin's homecoming.  After church we went back to get all of our stuff but couldn't make it up the driveway because the wind had blown the snow and covered the driveway with quite a bit of snow.

 Monday we went to the Harlem Globetrotters with my family.  I love the fun show that they put on!

Valentines Day...

 To say our Valentines day was great would be an understatement! We had an amazing day... or night I should say!  The kids were spoiled from their grandparents including great and of course from us!

Nic came home to this sign on our bedroom door and wondered what I had going on in there all night long!

 We had a very yummy chicken dinner at home that both Nic and I cooked together.  It was seriously the best and very easy, which I love!

After dinner we read some books with the kids and played games until it was finally bedtime for the kids. Ü

After a few adjustments to the bedroom Nic was allowed in.  I had re-done our bed and added curtains-finally- to one of the windows.  The bedroom was lit with candles all over and there were rose pedals leading to the bed and some on the bed with chocolate covered strawberries. I gave Nic a very kinky card with pictures of me all over it! hehehe I will only show one of those said pictures. Ü I also gave him a few little treats, and made him a picture with some important dates on it to go in our room.  We played a newly wed game with a bit of a twist and then went to bed ...

This was my favorite Valentines Day to date!  I LOVE being so in LOVE!!!!
