Alaska Cruise Day 5...

Day 5 was another day at sea.  In the morning we went into an area called Tracy Arm Fjord there is only one word to describe it and that would be breathtaking!!! Tracy Arm is a narrow long canyon that was carved from the glaciers.  At the end of Tracy Arm we saw Sawyer Glacier. Again breathtaking.  The closer we got to the glacier the colder the all around temperature got.  We were pretty bundles up while taking in the scenery. Throughout the Fjord were icebergs.  You couldn't help but picture Titanic as we were passing by all of these floating chunks of ice.  One of which we hit, but no worries we're still alive and we made it safely! Nic said he saw an iceberg with paint chipped on it.  Apparently hitting them is a regular thing. Aside from the ice, there were hundreds and hundreds of waterfalls to see.  They would start at the very top of the cliffs and come all the way down to the water.  We also saw lots of seals and a few bald eagles.  I loved this part of the trip.

I decided to try a muscle at lunch...
 NASTY...
Once we were back in the open waters we of course went swimming.  This was the first thing Payton wanted to do when waking up in the morning.  She and Connor are fish!!

 One of my favorite pictures...

Once we finished swimming we decided to do some more exploring of the ship.

We found the Sky Lounge which ended up being one of our favorite places on the ship.
We also took Payton to the kid area and it didn't take her long to get enthralled with the activities they had.
While Payton was in her play area we took Connor to the younger than 3 zone where he played and wanted to stay all day.
This is how most dinners went.  The kids watched movies while waiting for us adults to have our 3-6 course meals!

  1. Tracy Arm looks gorgeous!! The blue color of the ice is just amazing! Showing the kids movies during dinner is brilliant. We should have whipped out the kindle earlier for sure. I am loving these pictures!
