The 4th we got up bright and early for the kids to be in the Harrisville 1st ward parade. I was a little nervous dropping the kids off at the beginning and leaving to the church where the parade would end. But Payton watched over Connor very well and said, "Connor I'm so proud of you, you didn't even need my help." She is such a good big sister.
During the day we went to the Farr West park for there festivities but because the kids were so hot and tired we didn't last long. Payton was crying hysterically on the way home and as she was going up to her room for a nap she could barely muster, "I'm sorry I ruined the holiday." Once she said that we made a pack together that after she rested we would have lots of fun and that the day would not be ruined.
Once the kids were good and rested we had a BBQ at Nancy's house and again spent about an hour and half launching rockets before we headed back to Farr West for the fireworks where we finished off our 4th of July celebrations.
