It's Great to Celebrate 8....

Yesterday Nic and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary.  We didn't really have a plan to do anything but go to dinner and a movie.  Which would have been great, because usually we take the kids wherever we go.  So a night alone would be pretty nice.  But I wasn't too excited about sitting and watching a movie.  So I got brainstorming and thought of renting a wave runner.  Looked up a few different places that rented them then gave them a call and reserved one for us.  I called up Nic and told him the change of plans.  He was pretty excited about the new idea and thought I was pretty awesome! We dropped the kids off at Grandma Rich's and off we went.  Of course a storm had to roll in, but we waited a few minutes and decided to go for it.  The first little bit was kind of cold but the clouds broke, and the sun shined the rest of the time.  We seriously had a blast, and laughed so hard.  We kept saying how much are cheeks hurt from smiling.  Once we were done we realized our other cheeks were pretty sore too.
After jet skiing it was off to dinner at Olive Garden.  We loved having an uninterrupted dinner with no bathroom breaks, no whining, or telling anyone to sit down and be quiet.  But that doesn't mean that the kids weren't the center of our conversation.  These 8 years have been pretty amazing, I can't imagine life without any of the 3.5 people that have been apart of it.
