FALLing for You...

The temperatures are cooler, the aphids are about gone and the trees are changing down here.  I love it.

Right now the kids' favorite thing to do is to play in the leaves.  They have a blast.  They love running and jumping in the pile, making leave angels, and covering each other up.  It's so fun to watch them play so well together.

No worries I had all of our Fall/ Halloween decor up the weekend after Labor Day.  I needed something new to look at!

Conference...

I don't have my notes with me but from a lot of the Conference talk's I took away that service was a big topic.  And service is something I know I can do better at.  From Women's Conference I took this to heart and on Sunday when a sign up sheet came around I put my name on all of them.  Sure enough I got called to help on all of them.  I prepared meals for a family with a new baby, I prepared food for a funeral, for young women's we made freezer meals and handed them out to several families in the ward, and I also spent time at a ladies house who said she needed help.  For this particular lady I had to keep the thought in my head that I would be blessed for giving my service.  I do know that I will be blessed and that I need to continue to have a positive attitude and give more.  The feeling that I get after helping out in any way is very comforting to me.  I look forward to next months Ensign so that I can read the Conference talks since some were impossible to listen to with kids.  I love our prophet and all of the general authority and love listening to their talks and testimonies I love the spiritual boost that I get put on during this time and hope that I can continue to grow and be a good example to my children and my generation.
During Saturday's session we made our witch hat's for witches night out.

Yesterday we had a fun day.  Camie, Kelse, and I along with the kids met up at McDonald's for lunch then went to the Tree House Museum where the kids played for hours exploring all of the different exhibits.  We all had such a fun time and I know the kid's did too.

Gnome Wars...

We are still having fun with our little gnome wars.  Here is what the rest of our September was like with our little fellas...
He was put in my microwave on a Saturday and I didn't find him until Monday...

I think he looks right at home here...

 Not the water again...
Make sure you lock your doors...

"Come out come out wherever you are.  Do you know where your gnomes are tonight?"
 A little accident...
Nothing that a little glue can't fix...
 Our gnomes turned into deer...
 My favorite so far...
 We found the hide-a-key...
Gnome and creepy pumpkin thing found in our bathroom...
"Looks like those pesky reindeer have turned to the dark side"  Thus ending this gnomes little life...

Inspiration Point...

Saturday we decided to go for a drive up to Inspiration Point.  But first we made a stop to feed the ducks over by Lees Market.
The drive was absolutely beautiful. This has been a beautiful fall even though we are only two weeks into the season the trees are at there peak or just past.

We usually take the motorcycles up so you forget how long it takes going in the truck, and how bumpy it is.  There were quite a few people so we did a lot of pulling off to the side for others to pass.  But this particular time we were in a pretty narrow spot.  Nic pulled the truck up tight to the mountain and made room for this truck to pass.  He also pulled off to the side and waved us to come.  So we started going then the idiot kid decided he had room to go to.  As he started going he realized he didn't have as much room as he thought as the truck was getting pulled to the edge.  Nic quickly jumped out and told him to stop and not move.  So what did the kid do? He tried to go some more and was pulled further to the edge.  Along came a 4 wheeler who had a wench and thought he was pretty cool so to our amazement they tried that.  After yet another failed attempt and the truck now flirting with the edge Nic asked the guy on the 4 wheeler what he expected to happen making sure he felt really dumb.  Nic again told them to stop that they would need to call two tow trucks.  It was making Nic so mad and sick at how dumb they were being that he wanted to get out of there as soon as he could.  As we watched the driver get out of the truck and close his door the truck rocked a little and that was it for Nic and I.  We don't know the outcome of it but I'm sure they were up there all night trying to save the truck.

The incident put us on edge a little bit so we took everything nice and slow and enjoyed our views the whole way down.
