Midway Ice Castle...

Monday to celebrate Presidents day we went to the final opening of the Midway Ice Castle.  It was so incredible to look at all of the detail.  It was fun to see those glacier blues that reminded me a lot of Alaska.  Inside the castle were several different places to go.  They had a maze you could go through, slot canyons, slides and different tunnels. Next year I want to go earlier in the season because a lot of the ice had melted.

This isn't a great picture but aside from seeing the castle all lit up at night it was cool to look up at different parts and see the night sky with tons of starts framed with ice.

Birthday Bowling and Ice Skating...

First off last week we were up watching Shelly and Jason's kids while they went on a cruise.  One day after work Nic had stopped by our house to get the mail.  And this awesome thoughtful package was in the mail.  I love Carlin and how thoughtful she is, even 1500 miles away she can make my day that much better.
Saturday we celebrated my grandparents birthday and Gaven's Birthday by all getting together to go bowling.  It was such a fun time getting out with all the Montgomery's.  Gaven would have celebrated his 28th Birthday on Saturday which is hard to imagine.

I got my second turkey ever and may have bowled my highest score.  I was the top bowler of the day until Nic finished his game 8 points ahead of me!!
The Olympics are in full swing and we love watching them together as a family every night.  Payton wants to try everything now, skiing, snowboarding, ice skating.  So for family night we went ice skating.  The kids loved it and it felt so good to get outside with the sun shining!

It was a really fun family night.  It was also our first time experiencing Station Park.  What a fun place it was.  We ended our night with the Lego Movie.

Something Had To Change...

To ease some of my stress and me being cooped up in the house we started a few projects.  We have two rooms done with one room to go and one closest to be made.

 My favorite..

Payton's room wasn't originally on the agenda, but it seriously needed some TLC.

January...Shmanuary

Whose ready to go soak up some sun on a hot sandy beach? ME!!!! I need a vacation ASAP!  The other night I had a complete break down and I blame it on the January blues... well not really I have good reasons for my break down and I am convinced if I go to a beach all my heartache will be taken away! Sounds about right. To get me through some of these days in January I made a couple of wreaths actually it was only one morning and it happened to be a morning where I was throwing up for the better half of the day.

Another thing we have done is sledding.  This was quite fun having the dogs pull us around on the sled.

The kids have such a fun time sledding down the hills.

Connor was quite the trooper with hiking up the hills and carrying both sleds up.

After my SIL jewelry party we went out to eat at Bellas and then to the Weber State vs. Utah State Hockey game.

This last Friday was actually a really fun day.  It started off with Payton's field trip to the Fire Station.

And ended with my hot husband and I at Nitro Circus.
This is by far the best show I have ever been to.  We sat on the edge of your seats the entire time. It was so entertaining and made me so happy to see Nic's reaction to all of it.  He literally ditched me at the bottom of the stairs as he ran up to our seats to see the view.  Nothing makes me more happy than to see Nic all giddy.

Yesterday we celebrated our MLK Day by going up to Hardware Ranch with my parents and grandparents.  Payton and I were able to sit up in front with the driver.  The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.
On our drive up we saw wild turkeys.

 What a view.
