Moab Family Trip...

We left early Thursday morning to get to Moab.  Payton really wanted to hike to the Delicate Arch again and we knew we wouldn't have time to go later so earlier was better.  The weather is so much better in November.  It was about 60 degrees, sunny, with a nice cool breeze.  There were hardly any people around and the kids hiked all 3 miles.

After our hike we met up with the rest of the family and went to our house where we were staying then went and got the jeeps.  Getting the jeeps was a bit of a hassle.  I'm also pretty sure they never want to see our faces again.  I don't think they had ever had customers who knew anything about jeeps.  Finally after a couple of hours of getting the jeeps fixed and in shape to go we were off.
Our jeep worked great for us.. Sam unfortunately went through 2 and was finally satisfied with the third.
 Beautiful day...
The first jeep Sam got was leaning for unknown reasons.  Even after replacing the shock it still leaned to the right.  So they were able to upgrade to a 4 door, which I think we might get next time.
 blurry but cute...
Now that we had the jeeps all ready to go we hit Fins 'N' Things and Porcupine Rim.

Sadly before we could finish this happened.  They lost the steering gear box.  So we were down for another few hours.
Chad and Camie's jeep was a 4 passenger jeep, but at this point they had Camie, Chad, Morgan, Carley, Kevin, Cody and Carson.
Still waiting...
 Killing time...

Carson fell into a cactus and his clothes and him were covered in cactus needles, this was his attire for the rest of the day.

Finally we were up and running again.  And the jeeps all worked for us from here on out.

Carley was freaking out about this climb..

 The family on Hells Revenge...

 Spectators at Hells Gate..

We watched this buggy for a good half hour as he was trying to get out of the hot tub.

I love Morgans face...

Back to Fins 'N' Things.  This time the girls drove the whole thing..

Before leaving we went to dinner and randomly ran into this jolly man.

Connor wouldn't get anywhere near him but Payton told him she wanted a surprise.
We had such a fun time on this little get away.  I wish we could have stayed longer.

Halloween Fun...

What a wonderful week it was.  The weather was beautiful for this late in October.  The kids have played in this pile of leaves everyday for a couple of weeks now.  It's now a pile of mulch! I love when the leaves fall and the kids are able to spend so much time at one place.

Payton said, "Hey look mom, I'm doing the ice bucket challenge."
Monday night we had dinner in a pumpkin and had my parents and Nic's mom over for dinner.
Payton is so proud of this pumpkin, and I am too.  I outlined the owl with pencil and she painted it all by herself!  This was on display in the library at school this week.
Halloween morning I made the traditional Halloween pancakes. A Ninja Turtle, witch, and a folded up Olaf -oops!
Connor loved  his costume this year it was definitely a hit! Cecelia crocheted his hat, I made his shell, and bought PJ's so he can wear it whenever he wants.
There was no staying away from Frozen this year for Payton, which I was fine with because earlier in the year I made the dress and wig for her.
 Our cute kids!
It was fun to have Olaf in our group!
At the church ready for trunk or treating.
I slacked off and didn't get any pictures of them out.  We did the trunk or treat, then went down our road with the train full of people. And then went to the neighborhood for some real trick or treating.  The kids loved it and Connor was running from house to house using a few ninja skills on the way.
 The kids' pumpkins.. whooos whooos?

Family Halloween Party...

In our family it's pretty obvious who the favorite aunt is.  Maddie does so much for the kids and goes all out for everything.  This year she put on another great Halloween Party for us and we had so much fun.  She did all the food, games, and treats for the kids and us adults.   This year I was glad that we all were dressed up.  Thanks for the fun party Maddie!

We lent out our camera, so phone pictures is all we got.  Cecelia made Connor's hat and we all love it!
All Nic is missing is his tommy gun.  He was more cooperative this year with dressing up.  I thought he looked pretty good!
Ariel, Killer bunny & Flo, Flapper, Gangster, Leo, Elsa, and Monday and Tuesdays showing of Shark Week.

Lookin' good babe!
